ESTABLISHED in 1982, Lotuspoint Stud is run by shetland pony experts John,Christine and Joseph Hodgson well known as the Hodgson Family
Based at Newton Arlosh on the edge of the picturesque border of the Solway Firth , Lotuspoint Stud is a family interest in breeding ponies for the show ring with superb temperament, conformation, and paces and showing qualities.
Christine said: "After starting Lotuspoint Stud it soon become the focal point of our family life.
Our son Joseph has always had a fascination for horses/ponies and he now deals with Equines with Behaviour Problems, he has his own methods but these methods follow on from Monty Roberts. Our daughter Lindsey has always had a great interest in horses/ponies, but she also has a passion for caring for people, now also a mother to a baby boy who was born end of February 2006, Named John Brian Blair.
"We have over 50 ponies, consisting of blacks, chestnuts and broken colours ranging from 31" to 42" in height."
"We welcome all visitors and look forward to meeting new people and promoting the Shetland pony breed.

Christine explained: "Whether your company is new, up and coming or mature there has never been a better time to promote yourself, and the Stud believe they can join with you to our mutual advantage.
Sponsorship can be structured to suit any requirement from general annual advertising on Stud vehicles to an individual handler, pony, show or a combination of these.
"Individuals or businesses can sponsor the stud for a year and help with buying feed and stable accessories."
